Review: Boots Vitamin E Eye Cream and New Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation

Hi lovelies,

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and since its very close Happy New Year to everyone! :)

Over Christmas I bought a few gifts for myself as we all do hehe.
So recently I bought the boots Vitamin E eye cream for under four euro which is very inexpensive.

It says: "helps to reduce appearance of fine lines, puffiness and dark circles with in four weeks".
It contains Vitamin E, it has antioxidant protection and has a SPF 15 which is always a bonus.

I find this eye cream moisturising, it has a white/beige colour and it has a very light texture.
I have applied it morning and night. I have no puffiness so I cant comment on that but I have found a a slight difference in my under eye circles so I'm happy so far. Since its only been a week since I've been testing this I will have to update you after four weeks to see if it really works. Fingers crossed.
While using this I also found its very gentle on the eyes and doesn't cause any stinging or irritation.
The packaging contains 15 ml and it is suitable for all skin types.

Another product I bought is the new Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Gel Foundation.
I got it in Classic Beige. I have not tried it long so I will have to post a review very soon. So far I have found the texture very light on the skin and very blend-able. As I have oily/ combination skin I really have to test its staying power. It gives a light medium coverage, a natural look.

I am on the look for a matte lipstick that is a natural lip colour and moisturising,
If any one has any recommendation, please let me know.

Review: Nivea Visage vs Clinique

Hello :)
I'm sorry it's been a while. I'm back with a review of the Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Moisturizer.
I recently bought this product as I have Oily/Combination skin I will jump at the chance to have moisturized but shine free skin.

Nivea Visage Daily Essentials

I personally have to say I was a little worried to change moisturizers and try something new as my skin was behaving for once. I gave it a go and I have to say I am impressed. As I returned to my old moisturizer I found it a bit  greasy and runny. I like the texture of this cream though it is oil free which is good for people but oily skin and it also contains natural lemongrass and rice extract which is claimed to balance your skin. The lemongrass smells lovely but not over powering. This product left my skin naturally  matte and shine free all day.

I know can touch my forehead and not feel oily . Hurray!!
It also has balanced out dry areas of my skin.
This product also contains SPF 8 so is also a bonus for protecting your skin everyday from the sun even in winter its a must have.
I would recommend this to someone with oily skin even with areas which are slightly dry or normal skin. This day cream is nice and light and absorbs fast but is also moisturizing.
I would say when this runs out that ill repurchase but I already have repurchased even thought Im still on my first bottle.
This bottle contains 50ml but for 2.99 its a bargain.
Thumbs up for Nivea.:)

Another product I purchased a few months ago was the Clinique Dramatically Different Mostuirzing Gel.
I heard so many great reviews so I thought why not.

Natural Collection Lash Length Mascara

Hey lovelies,

I was recently looking for a mascara and I thought about getting the Rimmel Day to Night. As I was looking up reviews thought I wasn't too impressed to buy it. Alot of people said the volume wand was clumpy as it had the excess mascara on it but that the length wand did provide length.
So after looking around in boots I spotted the Natural Collection Lash Length mascara in Black.

Natural Collection says "Defines and extends for visibly longer lashes. Fragrance - Free. Dermatologically tested".

The tube comes in white 8ml packaging with brown/bronzy writing. Its simple but nice.

Tinted moistursiers & Tan accelerators.

As we all know summer is here and we all want that beautiful golden tan giving us that summer glow. But before we get the sun and while the sun disappears we want to look our best.
Personally, I am not such a fan of fake tan even thought I am temped to try the St.Moriz self tanner. Let me know if any of you have tried that.

So a few months ago I bought the Nivea Visage Tinted moisturizer day cream in natural.
I wanted to try out a tinted moistriser as foundation is to heavy for me to wear in the summer so I thought I'd give this ago. It gives me sheer coverage which I like and gives a nice glow as it contain light reflecting pigments and vitamin E. Always a plus.

Nivea Visage Tinted Moisturiser

It comes in a 50 ml bottle and is suitable for all skin types I would recommend for oily skin types that you can set if would powder if you want your skin to stay shine free. It feels very light on the skin and it can be worn all through the year giving you a summer glow.

Barry M Nail Polish Review

Hi lovelies,

As you are all of probably heard of Barry M's Nail Effects Polish. Its really hard to find the colours but it seems amazing. Let you know about your crackling experience. :)
I recently went looking for the white nail effects polish but it wasn't there *tear* Imagine my disappointment.
So I got the polish Pink Flamingo, number 305 and I also got the polish in clear, number 54 which acts as a base coat, top coat and nail hardener. Bonus.

Pink Flamingo

There are lots of beautiful shades available. It so difficult to choose from.
Personally, I think the colour of Pink Flamingo it so summery and fun. It is a pink colour hence the name but to me it seems like it has a coral colour through it.
It is long lasting and chip resistant.I think the packaging it really nice, simple yet classic.
The brushes on the wand are thin but it gives a nice application. I would recommend applying a base coat so you don't have learn the hard way with your nails stained pink.
I would definitively repurchase.:)

Celebrity New Trends. Love it or Hate it?!

As like alot of people celebrities are either 'Followers' or 'Trend Setters.'
I have noticed celebrities pulling off some new trends for this Spring. Well trying to..From clothes to accessories. Do you think their trends will become a world wide hit or be a BIG miss.

Feather's:
Feather's used as accessories or earring's to be blended in with your hair for a subtle look but is someone going too far..

Miley showing her new blonde locks and black and purple feather earring.
Personally I think it suits her edgy look that she is going for.

Jessica Biel wearing two feathers on one ear.
Feather's have also been wore as necklaces and even hair extensions. Try keeping it simple when you try out his look or you'll end up looking like a bit of bird.

Large pendants Necklaces:

Wearing pendants also are a new Spring trend that celebrities have been rocking. Pendant styles have varied from a cross to a coloured jewel with a long chain.

Jessica Alba: Shopping in Soho!
Jessica Alba wearing a black jeweled pendant

Ashley Tisdale in Los Angeles at the Grove Shopping  Centre wearing the  Soixante Neuf Crackle Horn Necklace .

Other celebrities sporting this look are Hillary Duff, Ciara, Rihanna and Kate Moss.

Wide Flared Trousers/Jeans:

The 70's look is so in this Spring. Flared Jeans can be paired with a blouse and heels for a dressy occasion or just kept casual and simple with a basic tee and flats. Flared Jeans/Trousers can suit alot of body shapes and high wasted trousers can accentuate a small waist on pear shaped women or even create more curves on a boyish figure.

Kim K wearing wide flared jeans.Jessica Alba is also a fan of this type of jean.

Lindsey Lohan wearing high wasted trousers.

Will you love or hate these trends.?

Skin Care for Normal to Oily skin.

From personal experience I can recommend a skin care routine that combats my oily skin. Huurrrraaayyy!!

Oily skin needs to be taken care off carefully as it has over-productive sebaceous glands which causes the production of oil. Even Normal skin can have oily T -zones at times. In some cases you could have oilier skin all over your face leading to spots and shiny skin. The good side to having oily skin is your skin ages slower (Your friends will be jealous :).

Step One: Firstly I would say to wash your face twice a day, once in the morning and once at night so oil doesn't build up clogging pores and causing breakouts.

Step Two: I would recommend washing your face with a gentle facial wash. I use "Neutrogena Visibly clear pink grapefruit facial wash"".
Neurogena say's: Help eliminate spots and black heads with a fresh clean feel.
I would have to agree it also smell's lovely too.

Step Three(Optional): I would have to say I am not so keen on using an exfoliator as it tends to over-dry my skin. So be careful when exfoliating as it can cause over-drying which causes even more oil to be produced. Also if you want to exfoliate limit it to once or twice every week or two week's.

If you want to use an exfoliator I would say to use "Simple spotless skin triple action face wash" as it contain's little bead's that won't be too harsh on oily skin. It contains Witch Hazel which helps tone pores, Zinc which absorbs excess oils.

Fashion Don't's!!

I have a few Fashion Don't's or  at least fashion idea's that i kind of don't understand.
There maybe some you might agree to disagree. It's completely OK if you do like some of my fashion don't's.

  • Denim and Denim - Only a few people can pull this look off.

    Britney Spears and Justin.
Do you think they pulled this look off?!

    • Real fur is a big no no. Hope you all agree with me on this one.

    • Leggings with a short top - NO ONE wants to see a camel toe. Yikes!!

    • Leggings with trainers.

    • Don't wear dark under garment's underneath light coloured clothes. You might get a few funny looks. (How embarrassing)

    •  Don't flaunt too much skin. Show either legs or chest.

    • Wearing underwear as swim-wear. Swim-wear was invented for a reason...

(Left) file picture (ref 46227) of Cheryl Cole on October 16 2010 and right, live picture of Cher Lloyd (ref 47047). Is Cher Lloyd morphing into Cheryl Cole?. The young "The X Factor" star was pictured arriving at London's Fountain Studios sporting a deep red side plait, very similar to the one her mentor Cheryl Cole wore for the live show on Saturday October 16 (see PCN set 46227).

    • Trying to dress completely like some one else. If you feel inspired by someone's look you don't have to copy it completely. Make it your own!

    • Flipflop's in the Winter. Why put your toes through that ??

Hope your enjoyed my fashion No No'. :)
Feel free to share your opinions.

Fashion Trends and Guilty Pleasures :)

    Hi Lovelies <3

I Just wanted to share with you my current loves at the moment.

    Shoes:

At the moment I am loving Brogues

    Womens' Brogues

They are really stylish and in my opinion would look gear with skinny jeans and a blazer.
They also are super comfortable and can be worn for daytime and night time looks. There is so many different styles and coulours of Brogues to choose from depending on your style. Alot of celebrities have been sporting brogues such as Jessica Alba and Taylor Swift.

Christian Louboutin.  Just a little something on my wish list!
    How far is Christmas??? :)

    Bright / Neon Colours:

Bright colours and neons can always complete an outfit .Colour blocking is also a current trend and can suit any shape or size.  You can even use bright colours using accessories such a handbag, earings or even nail poilish.
Be bold and try out out.

    Neon nail varnishes.

A few celebrities wearing neon colours.

    Prints and Florals:

Prints are everywhere this season, from leopard prints to zebra prints, bird prints, and also floral prints.
Prints are another big trend this season.

Floral Dresses. A must have from your Spring/ Summer wardrobe.
    Purse from Miu Miu

    .
    Leopard Print.

Wearing leopard part you should always be cautious as you don't want to over do it.
So if you are not fully sure go simple with a leopard print purse or shoes so it won't be OTT.

    Maxi dresses and Jump suits:

Another must have essential for your Spring/Summer wardrobe has to be Maxi dresses and Jumpsuits(aka Play-suits.) A maxi dress can be paired up with a leather jacket for a more rock chic look. It could also look great with a light washed croped denim jacket.
Floral and print's also come's in to Maxi dresses and Jumpsuits this season.

    Banana Republic Spring 2011 Collection.
Jumpsuit's can also be wore beyond Spring and Summer by wearing them with tights. So it will be a timeless piece for your wardrobe.

You Don't always have to be a Follower BE a Trend Setter!! :)

    I hope you enjoyed.

    Mascara Collection and Tips!

Mascara would have to be on my three things to bring to a desert island :) It's a make up essential I could not live with out.

    My Collection:

    My  Mascara Collection

    Comparing Brushes and Wand sizes.

If you would like a honest review on any of the mascara's comment me I would be happy to help with photos off  before and after too  :)

    Tips for applying mascara :
If your new to using mascara I would say test a few out to find out what you prefer.
    • Use an eye lash curler before you apply the mascara not after.
    • Start from the roots of our eye lashes and work your way up.
    • Its totally up to you if you want to apply mascara on the top and bottom lashes depending on what look you are doing for.
    • Always remove mascara with a gentle make up remover.
    Hope this helps.

    Disclosure:
    I purchased all the mascara's.

Primark Mini haul and Make up

Mascara Review: Collection 2000 Big Fake False Lash Effect Mascara

    Hi Lovelies :)

I recently bought the Collection 2000 Big Fake False Lash Effect Mascara since I have heard so many raved reviews about it.I bought it for £4.99 . It's available at any drug store.

    Collection 2000 says:

    • Double your lash length in one fell swoop
    • The unique 3D lash boosting tube technology wraps around each lash for a 'lash extension' effect
    • Plumps and stretches each lash without clumping or smudging
    • Achieve phenomenal length and volume Introducing a new RED brush & the biggest brush yet from Collection 2000
    • Perfect to pop in your purse for a stylish pick up for your peepers!
    Review:
The red and black packaging is simple but I personally like it. The mascara is in ultra black and is very black.
The brush is very similar in size to the Revlon Grow Luscious. It has a big brush.
It does give a lot of volume and length. It can give a natural look and with a few coats you can have a dramatic look. It had no fall out.
I have only used this mascara for a couple of days but so far I have had no clumping or smudging. Its very water resistant. Removing the mascara is a little bit tricky that other mascara but it was a real bargain at £4.99 so I don't really mind.
Personally I really like this mascara and I would recommend it for people looking for more volume than extreme length.

It's one of my favourites at the moment and I would purchase again.

    Will post pictures soon..

    Hope you enjoyed!:)
